About ITS

Information Technology Services (ITS) is the central IT organization for Florida State University (FSU), providing IT support and technology leadership to a diverse community of more than 50,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni and retirees. Led by Associate Provost for Strategy and Analytics and Interim Chief Information Officer Rick Burnette, ITS is dedicated to delivering an effective, comprehensive and secure technology infrastructure.

ITS works closely with key campus stakeholders and the IT Governance Council to develop plans and technology services in support of the educational and research missions of the university. Our services range from common good technologies such as email, network, voice and web services, to specialized applications focused on data, integrations and reports for individual colleges and departments. ITS also manages the Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) and Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC). In 2019, ITS established the Technology Architecture Committee to help ensure IT units across the university are collaborating to select and build the most robust technology solutions for FSU.

Many FSU units also offer university tech support. ITS partners with these groups to provide streamlined support to the entire FSU community.
